Dr. Nguyen is a Garland native. She completed her undergraduate degree with honors in Medical Humanities and Chemistry from Baylor University. Dr. Nguyen attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for medical school. She completed her internal medicine internship at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Nguyen returned to Dallas to complete her dermatology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center. There, she trained extensively with some of the most respected experts in the skin field to diagnose and address various skin disorders. She was the overall resident during her senior year of residency. The Humanism & Professionalism Award also voted her the peer-elected award, and peers awarded the Star Clinician and Leadership to her in 2016. Dr. Nguyen loves to educate patients, so they are more involved in their treatment. Dr. Nguyen feels blessed to have the unique opportunity to serve others and make an impact on her local community. She gives back by running a weekly dermatology clinic at the Fort Worth VA Clinic, where she treats veterans. Dr. Nguyen also instructs medical students and residents, demonstrating her commitment to education. Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with her husband, baking, and yoga.
