Memphis Dermatology Clinic P.A. We are pleased to announce that our East Memphis office, located at 795 Ridge Lake Boulevard., Suite 200 Memphis, TN 38120, has officially opened. To meet all your cosmetic, general, and surgical dermatological needs, we now have two locations: our Midtown office on Union Avenue, and our East branch on Ridge Lake Boulevard. The clinic is located in Midtown Memphis, at the corner of Kimbrough and Union Avenue. It houses six surgeons and two general dermatologists. The large and comfortable waiting areas are a great place for patients to be with their loved ones while they wait for the results of tests or the completion of surgery. An on-site laboratory is required for the Mohs procedure to examine freshly-cut tissues. Barry Birmingham coordinates the work of doctors, laboratory technicians, nurses, and other administrative and support personnel. He is assisted by Brenda Powell (a long-serving employee) and Rhonda Williams. Birmingham is the executive director of the practice following the death of Brenda Lanier (Dr. Amonette's cousin).

Le Bonheur has a charitable history that dates back to 1923 when Le Bonheur was founded by a group made up of women who began sewing clothes for the children at Leath Orphanage. Le Bonheur Club membership increased, as did the Club's commitment to children. The Club soon began to provide health care for the children living in the orphanage. The Le Bonheur Club's women became famous for providing transport to medical appointments. The Pediatric Society 1944 had an idea to build a hospital that was exclusively for children. They approached Le Bonheur Club. Le Bonheur Club and the community raised $2 million for the construction of the hospital. On June 15, 1952, the hospital's doors were opened by Le Bonheur Club members. Le Bonheur Club's President released red balloons with the keys to the hospital, as part of a pledge that no child would be left at Le Bonheur.
